Joseph W. Clarke
Joseph William Clarke,73, a resident of Modesto seven years, died this morning in a local hospital following a long illness.
A native of Harden, Mo., he moved to California 61 years ago and was a grain dealer in Stockton 50 years.
Survivors are his widow, winifred H. Clarke; two daughters, Winifred Elizbeth Boscacci of Sunnyvale and Margaret Virginia Struby of Gold Hill, Ore., a son, James Richard Clarke of Brookdale; a sister, Helen Louise Lindgren of Anaheim; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
His body was donated to the University of California, Hospital in San Francisco for medical research. The Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
