[Swedish Meatballs]

1 lb. round steak - ground
3/4 lb. ground fresh pork
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup [bread] crumbs
1 medium onion (minced)
1 Tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp allspice
3 Tbsp. butter or Crisco for frying
Beat eggs. Add milk and crumbs. (Grind meat very fine if it is not already ground.)
Brown the onion in 1 Tbsp. butter. Add all ingredients (onion last). Form into balls and fry till brown.
